Analytics and Google Tag Manager
When it comes to digital marketing, having the right analytics setup is crucial. Without accurate data, you can’t tell if your campaigns are working or if you’re throwing money down the drain.
That’s why I start most projects with a review of the existing analytics setup, from Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads, and Google Tag Manager (GTM), to Meta Pixel, Microsoft’s UET tracking and more.

GA4 (Google Analytics) Setup and Support
Creating a Google Analytics account is fairly simple. Tracking all the important actions you want to keep an eye on isn’t.
That’s why I offer a GA4 setup service. Whether its building the account from scratch or tweaking an existing implementation to be more robust, I can help make sure it’s right.
Using Google Tag Manager (GTM), I’ll ensure conversion tracking is in place for the things you care about:
- Ecommerce purchases
- Contact form submissions
- Email link clicks
- Phone number clicks
- Newsletter signups
And I’ll also link everything with your cookie banner (something called Consent Mode v2) to make sure you only track people who accept.
Google Ads Conversions
You can import GA4 conversions into Google Ads, and I usually recommend doing that – particularly for charities using a Google Grant.
However, it’s often useful to use native Google Ads conversions too. By setting them up as primary and GA4 as secondary, you have two datasets to compare if things go wrong.
And I also like to set up Enhanced Conversions, where possible, to make sure you get the maximum data coming through, despite whatever cookie banner you might have in place.
Again, this is all done via a Google Tag Manager setup.
Meta Pixel, Microsoft UET Tags & More
Google Ads probably isn’t the only digital advertising channel you’re using. So you’ll want to make sure your Meta Ads and Microsoft Ads has accurate conversion tracking too.
Tag Manager also allows these things to be set up simply and with the minimum of hassle. As well as LinkedIn Insights tags and more.

Don’t get just anyone to help you with your analytics setup. An agency might not be particularly sustainable, leaving PCs on all night and with employees commuting from all over.
